Dan Pirrallo honored by CHLA

Each year the Colorado Hotel and Lodging Association (CHLA) inducts members who have made significant contributions to CHLA and the hotel industry into the Hall of Fame. In 2017, Dan Pirrallo was inducted for his many years in the industry and his extraordinary service to CHLA and AH&LA. Below is the script from Dan’s Hall of Fame induction.

Before coming to Colorado, this year’s inductee served as the General Manager of the Millennium Knickerbocker Hotel in Chicago, the Sheraton Boston Hotel and the Sheraton Suites Wilmington Hotel in Wilmington, Delaware.

After arriving in Colorado, he served as the GM of the Millenimum Harvest House in Boulder and has been the GM of the Sheraton Steamboat Resort since 2012.

In case you don’t yet know, Dan Pirallo is the 2017 Hall of Fame Inductee.

Since arriving in Colorado, Dan has been an integral part of CHLA including:

  • Serving on the CHLA Board of Directors since 2002.

  • Served as CHLA Chairman in 2009.

  • Named Hotelier of the Year in 2009.

  • Served as the Colorado representative to the AH&LA Board

But, perhaps Dan’s most talked about contribution to CHLA is the Hotel Hogs motorcycle ride. The Hogs just celebrated their 10th Anniversary and in addition to raising money for the Readiness Fund each year, the ride has created many memories for members who have participated.
